I remember there was an episode of “Power Rangers SPD” were the Evil Rangers fired on the heroes while they were morphing … and they completely missed, but it made for some cool explosions in the background.

  2. DadaHyena

That’s nothing; remember how long it took freakin’ Sailor Moon to transform? The enemies would have had enough time to take a bus across town, visit the gun shop, wait for a permit to carry a firearm, then return to the fight scene and she’d STILL be twirling about!

  3. Trevor Kent

Not to mention the roll calls, like Gaoranger’s: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQ-7GRVIQaA Another reason I like Shinkenger - the roll calls made sense because the series was written to reflect the style of kabuki, so things like “Soko made da, Gedoushuu!” and “Tenka gomen no Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. Mairu!” felt like they belonged with that storytelling style.

when I was a kid my Time Freeze Field was always crashing one me…
    must have been the batteries.

  5. Natasha

^Mine too! I guess I should have remembered to change the batteries every now and then ;)

  6. Chris

You know, if the war mongers of the world just used the childhood method of resolving conflict, things might be a lot more peaceful (’cuz they’d be stuck in a neverending battle of “nuh-uh” vs. “yuh-huh”).
(You guys are awfully nice to not have noticed the continuing lack of inks ;) )

  7. Trevor Kent

Chris, I’m sure you are well aware that I’ve missed a few inks or even whole comics here and there! And you just finished moving, so don’t worry :)

  8. Dutchguy

Actually in universe those transformation are probably done immediately and the version we see is just made longer to seem more impressive
