I love all the weird perspectives in this arc

Why do I have the Scooby Doo theme song playing in my head?

OMG! Nice Caruso reference. Now all you need to do is to blast some “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”

Beware of things that go pun in the night! Love the worm’s-eye view panels.

I can’t believe believe I missed the CSI: Miami link.

Natasha & Mark: Glad you’re digging the worm’s-eye view! DadaHyena had an interesting insight about the perspective shifts a couple strips back…

Francisco: But now, wouldn’t you pay top dollar to see a CSI/Scooby-Doo crossover? My mind is reeling.
Jared & Oldskoolguitar: It was all I could do to keep from wailing out that song aloud while I was drawing that last panel

A CSI:Miami/Scooby Doo crossover? It’s a good idea. I’m now wondering if I remember enough about the characters of both shows to write on.

Sorry, that should be “write it”.

Freddy: “Horatio, you and Thelma check out the downstairs. Shaggy, you and Scooby look in the attic. Daphne and I’ll check out the master bedroom. *wink *wink
Horatio: Right. We’ll spread out….(glasses on)…like Daphne’s legs.” (YEEEEEEEAAAAAHH!!)

This is what I’ve written so far:
[We see a suburban street in Miami. The camera pans away from the houses and we see a cartoon-like green van on the street. Shots ring out, a middle-aged man dives in the back of the van and the van speeds off.]
Dispatcher: Shots fired near 1321 Maple Avenue, all units respond.
[We see the same street later. The camera is focused on one particular house, its front yard and the bit of the street in front of the house. The CSI: Miami team are scouring the site for clues.]
Boa Vista: [Approaches Caine] I found some hairs [holds up cartoon-like brown hairs]. I’ll have to get them back to the lab to confirm but I believe that they’re dog hairs.
Caine: [Looks at the hairs]
Delko: [Approaches Caine] I found some orange fibres [holds out some cartoon-like orange fibres].
Caine: [Looks at the fibres]
Delko: Hey, H! Are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Caine: Yes. [Puts on dark glasses] It looks like we’re going to have to stock up on Scooby Snacks!
[Title sequence]

I didn’t think you’d actually be crazy enough to do this!
Let us know when David Caruso calls, and remember l’il ol’ Odori Park when you’re famous!

Once the idea was suggested it took a hold of my brain. When Bob wrote his version it felt so wrong that I had to write something that was closer to what it would be like. I’m not sure if I woulld finish it though.

Love the worm’s eye view here, Mr. W!

I think it really adds to the sense of tension!
