Most of those huge guys are pretty stiff though - which means Collin could probably run faster if he had too - which is also very macho, um … right?!

This is actually a pet peeve of mine as well, although I’ve learned how to let it go. It’s gotten to the point where I’m honestly surprised if someone
a) holds the door for me
b) thanks me for holding the door open
c) offers an ‘After you!’
It’s both sad and nice that such trivial encounters usually make my day.
BUT! A word of warning. Do NOT try to be polite and hold the doors for people at an all girl’s middle school! D: Even the /teachers/ ignored me, leaving me holding the door for a solid five minutes as people flooded past without even realizing I was there. Then I’d be late for class and get in trouble. ;-___-
