Colin-Colin-Colin… if you challenge your wife on the small stuff and lose, imagine your credibility when she has to challenge you on the biggies. Pick your battles wisely, always let her win the small ones, regardless!

Thanks for picking on your dyslexic readers, Chris!

SpilledInk: How much can you really trust a book written by a nine year old sit-com character, anyway, right?
Jynksie: I’d contend that, if Colin had his street smarts on, he’d avoid challenging her altogether. Even if he wins, he’ll lose.
DadaHyena: I thought dyslexia was reversing letters; is there a name for a condition where you regularly insert unnecessary ones? Maybe “oby-kaby-ism”?

Here’s where I get technical and say, “Well you were wrong, too. You said there’s no ‘B’, and there is; o-s-t-e-n-s-i-B-l-y”. Anything to win an argument, or at least save the draw!

Wow, there isn’t much that I hate more than the moment I realize I’ve been pronouncing a word incorrectly my entire life. It’s funny how often people who speak English as their second language point out grammar mistakes in our speaking–they actually sit and learn it and don’t grow up learning everyone else’s bad habits!
I can definitely sympathize with the last panel.

Ooooh…don’t you just hate being wrong.
I’m glad I never make miskates.

Schooled in English by someone who speaks it as a second language! Ouch. That’s gotta sting.
