That’s what’s frustrating about being an author/cartoonist/artist these days - you have to know the web as well. It’s like a package deal. If you don’t - you’re screwed! I’ve been very old fashioned when it comes to cartooning, but the past few years I’ve realized that I have to step it up a notch and learn the web.

It’s a trade-off, to be sure: More things you have to learn (at an ever-increasing pace, to boot), but more direct personal control over the outcome. I had to relearn so much when building this site, and it had only been about three years since I last did heavy-duty site building. Many and long were the sighs heard during those days.
